We must keep in mind that all our medicines are derived from chemical compounds found in species. As species disappear, so is the potential to find and develop new remedies. We will never be able to come up with active compounds that can cure diseases without prior study and extraction from species. As such each species is an invaluable loss in term of the potential for innovation and remedies discovery.

=> Species on Earth should be preserved at all costs. We have to date only studied a very small portion of species on Earth which have led to the discovery of numerous powerful medicines commonly used. As species disappear so is this potential to discover new remedies.
